April in Review

April was a very fun and busy month for us. Here are some pictures to review what we were up to in the month of April!
We had a fun time celebrating Emily at her bridal shower! This is us afterwards with Grandma Brown. I'm so grateful every time I get to spend time with Grandma Brown, she is so amazing!!
Mikkel swinging with the boys. Peyton was so funny holding onto her arm.

Peyton LOVES going to Kanab and playing at Gramp's house. He seriously asks me all the time if we can go to Kanab. It is a fabulous place!
These boys were helping each other out and Tavin was pushing Peyton so he could swing higher!
Peyt and Tav got to spend some great bonding time with Gramps helping him in the yard and taking a trip to the dump. They were loving it!!!
Shaye has been so very busy with work and school but he has been lucky to still find a few days to relax and do some fishing.
I really never let Peyton play with my phone but this was one of those moments I was so grateful for it and Dinosaur Train to distract him from throwing a ridiculous fit!
We took a mini family vacation to Mesquite to just get away and enjoy some fun in the sun. We had a fun time and met up with the Engles for dinner at the sea food buffet, got to love that:) Peyton and Jerzi had a fun time together and it was so funny to watch them interact, too darn cute they are!
They really wanted to hold hands, so cute.
Peyton was so excited we were staying in a hotel he was loving a nice big bed!
Best part was soaking up some sun!

We are so excited that our friends the Monroe's have moved in just up the street and it is so fun to do lots of fun stuff with them. Peyton loves playing with his new friend Boston. It is nice having a good friend close by.
Boston took Peyton for a ride in his cool jeep thing. It was so funny to watch them cruising around, gives me visions of things to come. Makes me a little nervous:)
And then for the down side of April. We had a flood in our upstair bathroom and it became quite the disaster! They had to pull up the carpet to dry the floor underneath. They had to take out part of the wall and ceiling in the garage. It has been quite the pain and made our lives unpleasant. We had to move all the furniture out of our room and pile it in the guest room so we've been sleeping on the couch! The worst part is it happened almost a month ago! So we've been sleeping on the couch for about a month now! We are about sick of it, that's for sure! They say we should be able to move back in to our room a week from today so I  am crossing my fingers that is true!
What a mess!

Spring Fever

I'm trying to play catch up on lots of old pictures. This was back in early April when we were having some serious spring fever. Cedar City was still cold but St. George was nice and warm so we headed down with Mikkel and the kids and enjoyed some fun in the sun at the splash pad and carousal.

Peyton is so lucky that he has his cousins here that he can always play with, he sure loves them!!
Peyton loved trying to keep up with the boys and follow them all over the splash pad.

Easter Weekend 2013

Spring is here and I couldn't be happier!! We had a great Easter weekend and enjoyed fabulous weather which just makes life great! Peyton loved everything about the holiday, seeing lots of family, getting presents, hunting for eggs and especially the candy!:)
We were in the car headed down to the Jackson's Ranch for the annual Easter lunch and egg hunt. I looked back and Peyton put on his sunglasses and said, "I look awesome Mom!" I had to take a picture it made me laugh. Glad he has such self confidence:)
Shaye and Kody got into some trouble when they let this momma sheep out of her stall. It was pretty funny to watch them catch and literally drag this sheep back in! Pretty funny sight!

Peyton had his first experience holding and a lizard and he loved it! He wasn't scared at all and was so excited. McKoy (Shaye's cousin Kody's boy) spotted the lizard and with Kody's help they caught it and the kids that it was great! Peyton loved McKoy!  He wanted to do whatever he was doing and has continued to tell me that he likes McKoy and that he is his friend:)
Then one of the other cousins brought their pet turtles. Peyton was just getting hold all sorts of new creatures. He was so cute getting down close to get a good look at the turtles and talking to them. He kept telling me, "they so cute mom!:)"

All the kiddies ready for the Easter egg hunt. Peyton is looking so serious here!
 Let the hunting begin!!!

It was a success and Peyton had a great time!
Shaye and I seriously LOVING the warm sunshine! Sitting in the sun I actually started feeling hot...and I loved it!
Easter morning Peyton was pretty excited to find these exciting new toys downstairs. He's decided Easter is a great day!:)

After church he took the clubs out for a try.
Later we went over the Mikkel's for dinner and Peyton and Tavin could have jumped on the tramp all night! They were so funny to watch I wish I could have heard what they were talking about out there.
This time I came out they were laying down looking at the clouds. Seriously cute little boys they are!!

We ended the evening making "resurrection rolls" and taught the boys about the true meaning of Easter. Mikkel found the cute idea. We dipped the marshmallow (which represented Jesus' body) in butter and cinnamon sugar and rolled it up in these rolls (which represented the tomb). Then we baked them in the oven and when they were done we cut them open and the marshmallow had disappeared just like Jesus was gone from the tomb on the third day. It was a good little teaching moment and they were pretty tasty too!:) All in all it was a wonderful Easter and the best part was being able to spend time together as a family. I am so grateful for my two boys and love that we were able to have a fun weekend together!!

February/March update

As I have said before January thru March are my least favorite months. It's cold and it usually goes by so slow! Luckily some how this year time is going by fast! We have been so busy and the days seem to be flying by which is great! The faster we get to summer time the better! Here are some pictures of what has been keeping us busy this month. Peyton is growing up so fast! He makes everyday so fun and exciting, I never know what he's going to do or say and there is always something new. These first pictures are of some of the funny things I have found him doing that made me laugh.
One night we were getting ready for bed and I ran up stairs to get his toothbrush. I thought he was going to follow me up but he didn't come so I came back down and he had turned the t.v. on and cuddled up on the couch like this. He looked so darn cute it just made me smile:)
One afternoon it was a pretty nice day so we were out in the backyard playing. I went inside to do something and had left the door open. I heard some beeping and commotion and went to see what Peyton was up too. He had pulled the space heater over and had it on blowing out the door. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "It's a little bit cold Mommy." I just laughed. Good problem solving I guess:)
One morning while I was getting ready Peyton was doing his usual playing around and pulling things out of drawers and such. Shaye had left one of his deodorants that was almost all gone in the bottom cupboard so Peyton could find it. Peyton loves Dad's deodorant and he always wants some. So when he found it at first he told me to put it on the counter cause it is Daddy's. I told him Dad left it for him as a surprise. He said, "for me?...I need some!!" And he quickly started taking off his jammies! I was laughing but luckily I quickly got a picture of him, love his serious face!
Peyton loves playing in the sand box at Gramps Brown's house. He loves going to Kanab and it is so funny the way he pronounces Kanab:)
We had a fun pizza and movie night with the cousins. They had fun making a big tent with blankets and getting inside to watch a show.
Plus they loved the popcorn!
I got a jogging stroller which both Peyton and I are really enjoying. We are so glad we've had some warm days to get out and run! Hope we have lost of warmer weather to come!
Here is proof that Peyton is slowing getting better and eating. He surprises me sometimes and will be willing to try things that he normally won't eat. I had to take a picture of him eating this carrot to proof that he was eating them.
Peyton loves his cousin Tavin and he always wants to play with him. One day we brought Tav home with us to play for a bit and the whole ride home I was laughing. It was so funny to listen to these cuties chatting in the back. I wish I could remember what they were saying but whatever it was it was pretty funny, love watching them interact with each other.
We took a little family get away down to Las Vegas to spend some time together as a family and visit GG. Peyton and Shaye's favorite store to go to is any sporting good's store. Peyton's favorite thing is playing in the tents they have set up. He tested all the zippers and found every window and opening. The things that make him so happy:)
Thank's to GG Shaye and I were able to get out on a date together. We enjoyed a good movie and even had the theater all to ourselves:)
Peyton loves the fish aquarium's at Bass Pro Shops. It is so fun to watch him get so excited about everything. He was trying to hard to catch the little yellow fish as they would swim by.

What a little sweetheart he is!!
Fun times out on the town with Mom and Dad. Love being with my boys!!
The weather was so nice while we were there we enjoyed spending some time at the park running around and enjoying the sunshine.
Races with GG. Peyton could have done this all day! He loves to play with GG!
Love, love, love the sunshine!!
Love watching my boys talk to each other.
Peyton loves his Daddy...
he wants to be just like him. I love them both!:)
