It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It really has been the most wonderful time of the year this past weekend. We got to spend Christmas in Kanab and I must say that it was one of my favorites. We had such a fun time seeing lots of family and just enjoying ourselves. All of my brothers and sisters were home and we had a great time. Peyton also had a great time, he loves being around lots of people and just taking it all in. He is 3 1/2 months old now and learning and growing so much everyday. I love how he holds on to toys now and loves to try and get everything into his month. He especially loves to suck on his first two fingers and he loves to laugh and smile a lot! We'll do anything to get those smiles and laughs, we can't get enough of them!:) Peyton is a mover he doesn't like to hold still and he doesn't like to sit down. He prefers to stand and always wants to be facing the action so he can take it all in. Even though he is little I think he enjoyed his first Christmas and we especially enjoyed having him with us for his first Christmas. Here are a TON of pictures of all the special times.
First picture with Santa, thanks to the Glazier's for invited us over when Santa would be visiting.
All the grand kids with Santa. Traj looks more interested in Peyton's hands. They all look pretty excited. Tavin's not impressed and it looks like Peyt is yawning:)
Auntie Ems
On Christmas Eve the boys got to open one gift and it was these nice robes! Doesn't it make them look all grown up and fatherly?!:) They got to try them out by being the wiseman in the nativity that night.
Some how Peyton fell asleep with Uncle Brant despite all the chaos. If you look closely it looks like he is trying really hard to keep his eyes closed:)
Peyton made his debut in the annual Brown Family Nativity this year and played the part of baby Jesus. He did so great, didn't even make a peep and Rianne was the perfect Mary, it was so sweet.
Grandpa Brown as the narrator.
The wiseman looking good
The whole cast

The girls got matching slippers on Christmas Eve.
Christmas morning, here's Dad super stoked about his new weed torch!
Brandon reading is traditional poem for Mom and Dad to introduce their gifts. I think he must have just said this was the last Christmas he hoped to spend single, looks like they thought that was funny:)
Nate modeling his new snow pants and nice sweater, gotta love that pose!
Love the headband man
Now on to the Jackson's for more Christmas fun!
Peyton and Grandpa Jackson enjoyed opening his gifts, look at his smile he loves them!

Christmas day dinner! So glad Branson came to join us too!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and now onto a happy New Year!!

First Family Vacation

We just returned from our first family vacation and it was a complete success! The dentist I work for always takes the first week in December off so we decided to plan a little trip to California with my sister's family and our friends the Lee's. We had a fabulous time and it was SO nice to just be with my boys all day for a few days! We were able to stay at a great place right across the street thanks to Shaye's dad for letting us use their time share so we'd have somewhere to stay. It really was the best location we never got in the car the whole time we were there which makes things a lot less stressful not worrying about traffic and parking. Thanks Larry and Kelly:)
Here's the king of our castle enjoying some play time on our big bed!
Peyton was the best little traveler, we only stopped one time in Vegas, what a champ he did great! Thank goodness he sleeps so good in the car, (as long as we are moving that is:)
Disneyland here we come! Peyt liked Disneyland but I think Disneyland liked him even more! Everyone loved him, we were offered multiple 1st visit pins by workers that thought he was just too darn cute and one gave him an honorary citizen pin, plus you gotta love the baby swap on rides it worked out great and we never really had to wait in any lines.
Here's Traj and Shaye during one of our turns with the kids while the other parents went on Splash Mountain. All the little guys were sleeping but Traj kept us plenty entertained. We love this kid he says the funniest things these days.
Everything was decked out for Christmas and it was awesome! I love Christmas decorations and there it was everything Christmas!
Love those Mickey Mouse ears:)
The fireworks were awesome set to Christmas music
Then the streets were filled with lights and snow! It was so magical, plus I just can't get enough of Peyton in his cute little hat:)
The next day in California adventure we took Peyt on his first ride...as you can see from the pic he didn't love it. When it got dark he got sad, poor little guy it scared him, sorry.
The weather was great! The days were beautiful, the evenings were a little cooler, thus you can barely see Peyton all wrapped up here.
We had such a great time it went by too fast and we were sad to come home. Here are some others bonus pics of the little man lately.
This one is to funny this was the night we got home, I guess he was all tuckered out from the trip he was falling asleep on the couch.
Gotta love him in one of his cute Christmas sweaters, he's got a new one for every Sunday this month:)

So precious
He just can't keep these girls away! He loves his aunties Jen and Em:)

Things I'm Thankful For

So I'm a little bit behind but we did have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend last week and I wanted to post a few of the things that I am most thankful for and share some pictures of the good times. I love the holidays:)
Number one thing I am thankful for is my boys! I am so thankful for Shaye and how patient he is with me. I have been pretty stressed lately with working and trying to keep up with things at home. I like to be able to do everything and the truth is I just can't get it all done and he has been so good to help out and still love me even when I'm crazy:)
Of course we are both so thankful for our sweet little Peyton. He really is the biggest joy in our lives. We love every little thing he does. Like last night I was giving Peyt a bath and yelled for Shaye to come look because he was holding a toy:) Granted I placed the toy in his hand but he was holding on to it and it just made me smile. Silly I know but it's the simplest things that just make my heart so happy:)
I am very thankful for how well Peyton has been sleeping it is really nice to get those consecutive hours of sleep... right now I can't think of anything better:) Isn't he so sweet, GG is so good at rocking him to sleep.
I'm grateful that Shaye is able to watch Peyton most of the time when I'm at work and I love that they have so much fun while I'm gone. Shaye's favorite thing to do with Peyton is build him a throne. Here he is on one of his many thrones, he knows he's king at our house!
We are so thankful for Aunt Jen! She has been the biggest help to us and we just can't thank her enough for all her help this past month! Here's Shaye with his siblings at the kids table for the feast. Looks like Shaye can't keep his eyes off of his food, you can look at the camera man no ones going to take your potatoes:)
Chilling after the big feast
I love the holidays because we always get to see lots of family and there is nothing I love more than spending time with family!! Doesn't Peyton look so little here with Uncle Brant?! I guess that would be Great Uncle Brant! Plus you gotta love their leopard blanket. They enjoyed watching some football together, Brant kept Peyton entertained by how excited he'd get over the game.
Love this picture of my parents, Peyt and Nate. Mom you look so pretty, and of course Nate is making a silly face:)
And last but not least I'm thankful for birthday gifts:) Yep I turned the big 27 last week. Seems pretty weird getting closer to 30, I still feel so young. I guess it's ok people that don't know me think I'm like 20. Someday it will be nice to look 10 years younger, like when I'm 40, hopefully it will work out that way:)
Wow I have many things to be thankful for, it's good to remember them. I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful holiday season!
